I’ve been really busy these past few weeks, which is why I haven’t been as active in the blogosphere, posting or commenting on all your lovely posts. If you want to share a post in the comments below, I’ll make sure to check it out! Thank you for understanding, lovelies 😁
I was tagged for three tags, so I’ll be doing them all at once! Many thanks to Bookish Thinker @ Paper Hearts, Jheel @ The Cosy Corner, and Sara @ Sunflower Seeds for tagging me for The Currently Reading Book Tag, The Feelings Tag, and The Talents Tag!!!! Wasn’t that a mouthful 😂
Do check out their posts here! They were lovely reads.
Let’s get started! Happy reading 😀
The Currently Reading Book Tag
How many books do you usually read at once?
I tend to read two to three books at once, and still keep track of everything that’s happening in each.
How do you decide when to switch between multiple reads?
I usually just take turns. For example: Friday evening, finish Book A. Saturday morning, start Book B. Saturday afternoon, continue Book C. Saturday evening, finish Book C. Sunday morning, continue and finish Book B.
I never have such a perfect schedule as that, but it would be the most ideal scenario 😅
Do you ever switch bookmarks partway through a book?
I don’t really use bookmarks. Plus, the app I use for borrowing books has built-in digital bookmarks, so of course I’ll use that…with physical books, I just remember the page I’m on, and I don’t usually forget (it also really helps if there are chapter numbers).
What time of day do you read the most?
Probably the afternoon.
How long do you typically read in one session?
For an unfathomable reason, these days I find myself trying to finish a book in as few sittings as possible. Typically, I can accomplish this within 2-4 sittings. During each session, I suppose I can read for about one hour…unless the book is very long or hard science fiction (both my cups of tea LOL).
Do you read hardcovers with the dust jacket off?
I keep it on unless it’s bothering me…but that rarely happens.
What position do you mainly use to read?
I curl up on the couch like a kitty!
Do you take your current read with you everywhere you go?
No, I only read at home.
How often do you update your Goodreads reading progress?
I now use both Goodreads and the Storygraph for recommendations, but I don’t obsess over either platform. I still check Goodreads every now and then, but I haven’t updated my reading progress for the last maybe 3 books I finished.
Thank you for tagging me, Bookish Thinker, it was a lot of fun answering these questions!

A Book That Made Me Cry All Day!
I don’t normally cry when it comes to books. I cry more often when I’m watching a movie or TV show infused with sorrow. However, my heartstrings do get tugged at every now and then. Most of the time, I get chills and totally freak out inside at small moments of character dynamic.
A Book That Was Not That Great…..
Oh I don’t know…I rarely rate a book lower than 3 stars. This is just because I can usually tell right away if I’m going to enjoy a book or not. So if the signs are pointing to the latter, then I won’t finish it. It’s as simple as that. I’d much rather read something else that I’m more confident I’ll enjoy.
A Book That Was Next To Perfection!
I don’t believe in perfect books, so I’m glad the prompt was worded this way 😅 I’m going to go with Death’s End by Liu Cixin, as my favorite genre is science fiction and this book is probably my favorite science fiction novel. See what I did there? 😂 Death’s End is simply genius, grand, overwhelming, scary, and so, so original. What more could I ask for from a book? If you’re interested, I reviewed the trilogy on my blog as well!
A Book That Touched My Heart Deep Within.
Wonder by R. J. Palacio and Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper. Both are touching works of literature, character-centric, and thought provoking. I rooted so hard for Auggie and Melanie, and the authors did a wonderful job crafting them. But not only do these two characters exist on the page, they represent real people in the real world going through these real struggles. I’m so thankful for the impact that these books have had on me.
A Book That Is Above All The Books Ever Written!
Honestly, I don’t really have favorites. If you asked me to name my favorite book, I’d come back the next day, hand over a list with thirty odd books on it, and request I have an additional week to add more on. So… 🤷♀️ There are a lot of elements that go into a decision like this 😂 so I can’t make any claims too lightly!
Thank you for tagging me for your original tag, Jheel, I enjoyed answering the questions!

a funny phase you had as a child ( ex. archeology phase )
I went through a phase where I would watch all the videos of Voice Kids Australia…and rewatch them. I learned A LOT of songs that way.
who is an inspiration to you?
My mom and dad inspire me every day! I love them dearly, and look up to them.
what was your favorite childhood toy?
which fictional character do you wish you could meet?
Cheng Xin, from Death’s End. She’s such a fascinating character, and has been through so, so much. I really want to see how she’s doing!
song type(s) ? ( pop, rap, etc )
Indie pop! I love how it can be both soothing and catchy. Anyone want a cardigan? 😂
Okay, I don’t think this is a meme, but it’s funny, so we’ll go with it.
ocean or forest?
WOW that is really difficult. Oceans seem so mysterious and intriguing, yet I’ve always found it fascinating how characters in books can gather things like berries and herbs and make a living in the woods. By a millimeter, I’ll just go with forest.
One of my talents is probably writing. I’m always finding ways to improve, and the process matters to me just as much as the final product.
And one of my favorite quotes is:
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
Thank you for tagging me, Sara, it was my pleasure to answer these questions!
Hopefully you enjoyed reading my answers. Now, for tagging and preparing my own questions…
For the Currently Reading Book Tag, I tag anyone who is an avid reader!
For the Feelings Tag, I know it says to tag 5-12 bloggers, but I feel like I’ll only be repeating nominations (and I don’t want to add more to some of your schedules) and it’s been quite busy lately, so I haven’t had as much time to blog-hop. So, if you’d like to be tagged for future tags on my blog, please do let me know in the comments below!!
My feelings prompts for anyone who’d like to do this wonderful tag:
A Book with a Mesmerizing Plot | A Book with a Good Pace | A Book with a Main BIPOC Character | A Book with Mouthwatering Food Descriptions | A Book that Took You All Over the World
For the Talents Tag, again, please let me know in the comments below if you’d like to be tagged for future tags on my blog.
My questions for anyone who’d like to do this lovely tag:
- Favorite or most comfortable outfit?
- A painting you admire?
- Your spirit animal?
- The next book on your TBR?
- Most commonly used bookmark?
- What inspires you to write a blog post?
- Finally, strawberry or blueberry?
This was a lengthy post, so thank you for staying with me! A note that I might continue to be inactive in the following days. Again, thank you so much for understanding. Have a wonderful day, lovelies!!
